The city of Salem announced Sunday that the Snow Emergency Parking Ban will last at least through Monday while crews continue to work to clear city streets.
The snow emergency parking ban is still in effect in Salem and likely will be in place for the next 24 hours to assist public works crews with clearing snow from streets, according to a release issued Sunday afternoon.
City residents with snow requests are encourage to email email@example.com.
The announcement also noted that plowing or shoveling snow into the street is a violation of city ordinances and people caught doing it could be fined.
