Man Charged With Dragging Girlfriend Says He Didn't Know She Was There

Daniel Rodriguez of Jamaica Plain is charged with dragging his girlfriend out the door of his car along North and Federal streets.

The attorney defending a man accused of dragging his girlfriend by the foot along Salem streets is arguing the driver didn't know she was there.

The Salem News has the latest on a case that shocked the city back in December 2011. Daniel Rodriguez of Jamaica Plain faces four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (that's to say, the car.)

The victim suffered a broken elbow during an ordeal in which she was dragged 393 feet, according to Patch reports at the time.
