Man Arrested for Baseball Assault

Sunday, Sept. 30
4:53 p.m. — Police reported malicious damage to a bench at the Leslie's Retreat Walkway. Police said the officer found that one of the four benches were gone and 15 gazebo rails were missing. Police said they found two large metal parts to the bench in the grass, but no signs of any wood to the bench or gazebo.
5:10 p.m. — Loud construction was reported on Larch Avenue.
5:12 p.m. — Police spoke to a 5-year-old about respecting his parents.
9:41 p.m. — Police responded to Arge's Liquors on a report a man was assaulted, After an investigation, police said Tyrone L. Ellison was arrested on a charge of assault and battery with a baseball bat.
10:46 p.m. — Malicious damage to a vehicle was reported on Pingree Street. Police said the back window of a vehicle was smashed.
Monday, Oct. 1
1:33 a.m. — Police checked on a man sleeping in a Salem Street vehicle. Police said the man was sleeping, and after an investigation, Jesse Cunha was arrested.
2:44 a.m. — A person being harassed was reported on Boston Street.
8:36 a.m. — Police said a woman reported she was assaulted in Lafayette Park, and her purse was stolen.
10:37 a.m. — A past break-in was reported on Bridge Street.
11:29 a.m. — A child's foot caught in a chair was reported on Fairmount Street.
2:09 a.m. — Police said a woman approaching people abruptly was reported on Traders Way.
