Man Arrested for Allegedly Pleasuring Himself In Window

arrested a Salem man Thursday after a neighbor said he was pleasuring himself while standing naked in his window.
Robert J. Connell, 28, of 46 Prince St. was arrested on a charge of lewd, open and gross conduct after police received a call from Leavitt Street at noon Thursday.
Police said a woman said she was on her back porch with her infant children when she was "shocked to look up and see her neighbor…standing naked in his window masturbating."
The woman told police she was able to see Connell's genitals and "was so alarmed that she hurried the children inside and phoned police."
The woman told police she is sure the incident was intentional, because Connell had removed a box fan that had been in the window the entire morning.
Police said Connell has a history of behavior of this nature.
