Man Allegedly Urinates on Vehicle

The following information was provided by the Salem Police Department. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

responded to the following calls and made the following arrests on Sunday and Monday.

Sunday, March 11

4:30 p.m. — Malicious destruction to a vehicle was reported on Moffatt Road. Police said a vehicle was spray-painted overnight.

4:47 p.m. — A man reported a hit and run on South Street. Police said someone damaged a 20-foot section of fence in the overnight hours.

4:47 p.m. — Trash dumping was reported on Aurora Lane.

5:32 p.m. — A loose, black dog was reported on Palmer Street. Police said the owner was reunited with the dog.

5:38 p.m. — Police received a call about a person locked in the gate at . The person was let out, police said.

6:57 p.m. — A dispute between the first and second floor tenants was reported on Leach Street.

7 p.m. — Police said a disturbance was reported on Fort Avenue. When they arrived, police said there was no domestic situation taking place, the woman was just being loud while looking for her cat, which she found before the officer arrived.

7:19 p.m. — An undesirable was reported on New Derby Street. Police said the panhandler left before they arrived.

7:22 p.m. — An unarmed robbery was reported in the Riley Plaza parking lot. The responding officer saw a man fitting the description talking on a cell phone and walking quickly toward Gedney Street. "As soon as the subject reached Gedney Street, the unknown man took off running behind , down Prescott Street then right on Endicott," police said. Police were not able to catch up to the man. Control said a woman reported the incident and said the man demanded her car keys in the parking lot, but she was able to get away. Police said they were not sure if there was any weapon involved.

7:50 p.m. — Assault and battery involving youths was reported on Dunlap Street. A woman said her 8-year-old sons had been assaulted by another child of the same age who lives in the neighborhood. Police said the woman said she wanted the incident on record so the other mother would "finally understand her son was getting out of control."

7:59 p.m. — Larceny of a wallet was reported on Washington Street. The incident occurred at the , police said.

9:07 p.m. — Threats were reported on Palmer Street.

10:12 p.m. — Possible fireworks were reported on Pope Street, but police were not able to find them.

Joseph Cabozzi, 22, of 248 Washington St., was arrested on a Revere warrant.

Alexis Familia Fernandez, 33, of 704 Merrimack St. in Lowell, was arrested on a domestic assault and battery charge.

Karena J. Fiore, 28, of 107 Waterhill St. in Lynn, was arrested on charges of larceny of property over $250 and illegal possession of a class B substance.

David  B. Lundbohn, 53, of 10 Staaf Road in Saugus, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.

Stacey A. Woodruff, 35, who is listed as homeless in Salem, was arrested on a charge of violation of a domestic protection order.

John H. Woods III, 30, of 70 Lawton Ave. in Lynn, was arrested on a Chelsea warrant.

Monday, March 12

12:30 a.m. — An out of control resident assaulting staff members was reported at the Plummer Home. "After further investigation, it was learned that two residents were assaulted by a staff member," police said. Police said they will seek a warrant for the staff member who fled the scene. The man will be charged with assault and battery involving a wall and assault by means of a dangerous weapon (a golf ball).

7:23 a.m.

7:30 a.m. — Police said the struck a parked vehicle at the intersection of Salem and Leavitt streets when responding to the incident at Pioneer Terrace. A vehicle on scene was issued a citation for a corner violation.

11:36 a.m. — A Gardner Street resident reported a news crew was harassing her. The woman said the crew from Channel 7 was at her house and would not leave. Police told the woman the crew had the right to stay in the public way. Police spoke with a woman from Channel 7, and told her she could stay in the public way, but she could not go on the property. The crew was on scene for an incident in Boston involving a woman who resides at the residence, but wasn't there at the time.

12:32 p.m. — A Craiglist scam was reported on Essex Street.

2:46 p.m.  — A woman yelling on Herbert Street was reported.

2:55 p.m. — Possible drug activity in the woods was reported on Memorial Drive. Police said there were no drugs, but people were told they could not camp in the area.

3:18 p.m. — A broken window was reported on Highland Avenue.

3:31 p.m. — Police were called to Margin street to check on a possibly intoxicated man. The caller said a man urinated on a vehicle. Police said the man was taken into protective custody after he was found in an intoxicated state.

Monday Arrest

Joseph Thomas Anderson, 18, of 9 Jacobs St. in Peabody, was arrested on charges of operating without being licensed and operating with defective equipment.
