Explosions Heard on Bridge Street

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:

Sunday, Nov. 18:

• At 5:06 p.m., a woman called police to report that she lost a white envelope containing $900 cash at the Market Basket on Pope Street.
• At 6:16 p.m., a Fowler Street man called police to report that he had a party on Friday and someone damaged his kitchen door. The man said his landlord asked him to have police file a report.
• At 9:29 p.m., police responded to a report that a juvenile had damaged a wall at the Access Starr Program. A male juvenile was placed under arrest for malicious destruction of property valued above $250.
• At 10:53 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Front Street. Ronald H. Talbot, 56, of the streets of Salem, was arrested on a charge of trespassing. John J. Lapointe, 53, of the streets of Salem, was arrested on a charge of trespassing.

Monday, Nov. 19:

• At 12:22 a.m., police responded to a report of loud explosions in the area of Bridge Street. Did you hear the explosions? Let us know in the comments section below.
• At 12:35 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle at the intersection of Derby and Liberty streets. Renee A. Jodrie, 23, of 40 Derby St., Salem, was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.
• At 8:59 a.m., police responded to a customer dispute at the Shell Gas Station on Boston Street. A man reportedly threw a small traffic cone at the rear of another man's vehicle and broken the tail light. A man was summonsed into court on a charge of malicious destruction of property valued under $250. 
• At 10:52 a.m., a Marion Road man entered the police station to report that someone stole a wrought-iron yard bench from his backyard overnight.
• At 11:10 a.m., police received word that a resident at the John Bertram House resident found that he was missing a check from his checkbook. The check was reportedly written out to a woman in the amount of $2,000.
• At 12:40 p.m., a man entered the police station to turn himself in. Francis Abreu, 19, of 50 Warren St., Peabody, was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.
• At 2:16 p.m., police attempted to serve a default warrant on Church Street. Barry R. Lauzon, 38, of 15 Puritan Road, Swampscott, was arrested for having an outstanding warrant.
• At 3:25 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on a woman on East India Square who was in the bathroom for an extended period. Officers determined the woman "had a cup of coffee which didn't agree with her."
• At 3:43 p.m., an East India Square business owner entered the police station to report that she suspected that someone has been stealing shirts from her store.
• At 4:09 p.m., police responded to a report of broken glass in a driveway on Lafayette Street.
