Candidate for U.S. Congress Bill Hudak among those who spoke during rally at Riley Plaza on Saturday.
Ahead of Tax Day, a group of approximately 50 people held a rally in Riley Plaza on Saturday, co-organized by the Cape Ann Tea Party and the Independence Tea Party.
Bill Hudak, the Republican nominee who was defeated last November by Congressman John Tierney, spoke to the gathering and talked with voters.
Hudak, who has announced he is running for Congress again in 2012, said he attended a Friday rally and event in Boston with former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, a Republican candidate for President.
"I don't know why they don't get going. They're all starting their committees," Hudak said about the candidates including Pawlenty, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. "They don't want to peak too soon, I guess."

For a second, I was like "Wow, a black man in the Tea Party!" Then I realized it was just the guy who holds the sign for Dominos.
