The Annual Salem Farmers Market opened for business on June 16.

Farmers and other vendors set up their offerings, as crowds of shoppers began to gather, giving the event a festival atmosphere.

Tables offered fruits, vegetables, bakery goods, plants, honey, pet treats and more.

Chef Tony Bettencourt from 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar gave a cooking demonstration, and Health Coach Diane DeGuzman was on hand to answer questions about making healthy eating choices.

For the rest of the summer, the Salem Farmers Market is on Thursday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. rain or shine in Derby Square.

These images capture some of the activity and a preview of what to expect when you head over to enjoy the action each Thursday.
