Green Land Cafe to Change Hands
A date has not yet been set for the opening of the new restaurant, which will be called Opus, but the transfer of the liquor license was given the green light by the Licensing Board.
Though a timeline isn't yet set, there will be some changes at the Green Land Cafe at some point.
On Thursday, the Licensing Board gave the green light for the transfer of the Green Land Cafe's liquor license to applicant Nolo Opus.
The applicant told the board in addition to the restaurant they may have the opportunity to bump out to accommodate a function hall in an adjoining space in the future.
The new restaurant, which will be called Opus, will keep the same manager as the current manager at the Green Land Cafe.
Licensing Board Investigator Det. Peter Baglioni of the Salem Police Department told the Board he had done a compliance check of the restaurant and met with the current manager. Baglioni said the restaurant was "in full compliance" and he was "very impressed."
