The following announcement is courtesy of the City of Salem.
Final paving on Bridge Street, from Webb Street to Howard Street Extension, will take place on Friday, June 15 beginning at 7 a.m.
Bridge Street will remain open and all businesses will be accessible.
Police details will always be present to assist residents and business patrons through the work zone and to facilitate traffic management.
We do expect traffic delays, especially during commuter hours and we urge you to use the Bridge Street By-Pass Road or seek alternate routes.
When the contractor is paving, no cars can be parked in the roadway.
Residents and businesses will always have access to and from driveways and parking will be allowed on the street after work hours.
Also, please note the side streets off of Bridge St. will be paved next week.
Thank you for your patience as we near completion of this project.

For the life of me, I don't understand what took this as long as it has. This was a "Shovel Ready" job from 2010., If I see one Gas Co.,Phone Co.,or or private Contractor, cut into Bridge St. i will note the date, time, and bombard the entity with e-mail, snail, mail, and phone calls, to be sure that the resurfacing is done correctly.
where to i send the bills for rim damages, tires, motor mounts, struts and numerous other damages to our (3) cars ?
