Danvers Man Arrested on Lewd Conduct Charge

The following was provided by the Salem Police. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

The Salem Police responded to the following calls on Saturday and Sunday. For a list of weekend arrests, click here.  

Saturday, Aug. 11 

4:08 a.m. — Possible animal abuse was reported on Salem Street. Police spoke with a woman who said she was playing tug of war with her dog when it let go and hit the wall. The dog appeared to be okay, and police said the woman told them she would take the dog to the vet. 

4:41 p.m. — A man exposing himself in a vehicle was reported on Conners Road. Police said a woman reported a car pulled up to her home and the occupant began to engage in lewd conduct. Police said the woman's husband confronted the man and he fled. Edward Arthur Sanborn was arrested at his Danvers home in connection with the incident.

6:09 p.m. — Police said a vehicle was reportedly egged on Butler Street. 

6:26 p.m. — Violation of a harassment protection order was reported on Essex Street. Police said the caller told them a man told him he was "out of his element" and he was going to "get hurt."

6:48 p.m. — Police said a large group of barking dogs was reported on Ocean Avenue. 

9:11 p.m. — A caller reported fireworks on Oakland Street. Police said the fireworks were actually in Peabody. The caller was told to call the Peabody Police. 

Sunday, Aug. 12

2:19 a.m. — Loud talking in the street was reported on Northey Street. Police said they couldn't find anyone in the ara.  

2:27 a.m. — People in the pool were reported at Jefferson at Salem Station. The people were advised the pool was closed. 

8:38 a.m. — Vandalism and a break-in to a vehicle were reported on Prince Street. 

10:45 a.m. — A Warren Street caller reported someone stole her perfume.

11:19 a.m. — A BB gun shot at a vehicle was reported on Harrison Road. Police said the caller saw a juvenile hanging out of a window with a gun. Police said they were able to identify a person who will be summonsed to court in connection with the incident. 

1:21 p.m. — A vehicle stolen from Lynn was recovered on Hanson Street. 

1:57 p.m. — A neighbor acting out of control was reported on Salem Street. Matthew Watson was arrested for allegedly throwing a glass bowl at another person. 

3:20 p.m. — Harassment was reported on Salem Street.
