City Elections Filing Update

An update on who is in the running for City elections.

With 11 days left to file for a position on the City Council or School Committee, the races are heating up.

Here's a look at where we stand on the City elections races.

The deadline for taking out nomination papers is July 29. Preliminary elections are scheduled for Sept. 20, and residents will make a final decision on their Council representatives-of-choice on Nov. 8.

Several candidates have already kicked off their campaigns for election and reelection. Ward Two Councilor Michael Sosnowski's photos from his reelection campaign party last month at the Salem Witch Museum accompany this article.
