Police Search for Suspect After Armed Carjacking
The suspect reportedly fled in a black truck toward Boston Street.
An armed carjacking was reported on Goodhue Street just before 3 p.m. Tuesday. The location was later confirmed to be Grove Street.
The victim was maced, according to scanner reports.
Scanner reports indicate the suspect took a black truck with the words "Dunlap Construction" printed on it.
Area police are on the lookout for the truck, which headed toward Boston Street, according to reports.
3:01 p.m. — Police located the vehicle, which was unoccupied, on Federal Street. The Criminal Investigation Unit was notified.
3:05 p.m. — Police reported the carjacking occured on Grove Street.
3:06 p.m. — Reports indicate the suspect may have fled in another vehicle after leaving the black truck on Federal Street. A secondary be-on-the-lookout was issued for a vehicle with "four large truck tires in the back."
3:17 p.m. — The Salem Police confirmed the State Police K-9 unit was being called in and the truck was being towed to the station for latent prints.

I hope he wasn't running from doing something even worse
