The Traffic

As if the parking restrictions weren't enough reason to jump on the commuter rail, traffic is expected to be jammed getting in and out of the city.

The Massachusetts State Police have issued a warning for those of us who live north of Boston to stay off I-93 and seek alternate ways into  the city, due to the parade combined with a bridge construction project scheduled on that highway.

"State Police urge motorists coming from the north of Boston to use either of two alternate routes to enter the city on Saturday: Route 1 southbound to the Tobin Bridge or Route 128 southbound to the Massachusetts Turnpike eastbound," the State Police said in a statement Thursday. "Motorists are urged to use the same alternate routes to depart the city."
