Actor Adam Sandler and actress Maya Rudolph were both spotted in Salem Saturday afternoon.

Sandler has been busy shooting the film Grown Ups 2 in Marblehead.

Residents reported sightings of the actors on Facebook.

Sandler was spotted at the Barking Cat Pet Emporium according to a business Facebook status written in the voice of none other than Salem's very own celebrity, Lucy the cat.

"Well, I'm glad that I could brighten another father's day...good guy, with two lovely daughters and his lovely wife, stopped in and got to do some Lucy-pettin,'" The Barking Cat and Lucy reported. "Uh, did I mention that it was Adam Sandler?"

Lucy also had some suggestions for others who might encounter the Sandlers:

"The family is enjoyin' an incognito day in our fair little city and I heartily encourage my Salem peeps to follow my example: be friendly and cordial; but, please, let these nice folks enjoy their day without too much fuss."

Later in the afternoon Pamplemousse reported Maya Rudolph stopped by to shop for paprika and sea salt.

Rudolph is also listed as a cast member in 2013's Grown Ups 2.
