For this Salem Patch editor, a plan to capture video of local sledders turned into a barehanded one-legged toboggan ride down the hill at Mack Park Sunday morning.

Unfamiliar with the local sledding scene, I put up a reader call out on our Salem Patch Facebook page looking for the best hill in the city and Mack Park was the popular answer.

A big thank you to the kindly gentleman who let me borrow the awesome toboggan featured in the video above. Thankfully, no small children were harmed making this video.
