UNDEAD SUPER GROUP DECLARES ROCKTOBER IN SALEM THIS HALLOWEEN SEASON

Scary Mary and The Audio Corssette Engage Audience via Web, Film Fest, Concerts and More

SALEM, MASS –Rock-horror super group, Scary Mary and the Audio Corsette, today announced a multi-stage and multi-media event experience to take place this Halloween season in historic Salem, starting first with a “Creature Tweeture,” held on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at 9PM; followed by a “Haunted Harbor” concert at Finz, on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012; leading up to a fully featured concert experience and short film festival, melting faces Midnight, Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at Cinema Salem sponsored by Finz Seafood and Grill.

“Salem is the Halloween-capital of the world,” said Kevin Letourneau, creator, director and producer of Scary Mary. “We’re thrilled to be bringing something completely original and for adults back to the Witch City featuring top regional talent.”

25 years ago, on the eve of her eighteenth birthday, Mary, a hair metal rocker chick, fell victim to a prank gone wrong resulting in her soul being trapped in an audio casette tape lost over time. This Halloween season, a new local supergroup, Audio Corsette will resurrect her as part of an R-rated, 80′s rock horror experience featuring a live show with short horror films from all over the country. Created and directed by Kevin Letourneau and written by Gregory Glenn, ‘Scary Mary and the Audio Corsette’ stars Jacyn Tremblay (JADA), Peter Tentindo (Britannica), Aaron Katz and Callie Lipton (The Dejas).

The first major event won’t be held on any stage; instead, “Scary Mary’s Creature Tweeture: Gayest. Nighmare. Ever,” will live-tweet Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge with trivia, prizes, and commentary. “Cable access horror personalities are an American tradition that started to get lost as the Internet started to draw attention away from television,” Letourneau said. “It is our hope to bring back the fun of a sexy, smart and funny horror hostess by creating an Elvira for the YouTube generation.”
