The Salem Jazz and Soul Festival will hold their first event for the 2012 season, a special Latin Dance at Red Lulu Cocina & Tequila Bar, 94 Lafayette St., Salem, MA on Sunday evening, Feb. 12. En Amor, Latin Dance is a gala Valentine's Day weekend event where all guests can enjoy fine dining while dancing romantic rumbas and sensual salsas as they learn the steps from professional instructors.
The event features hot latin jazz sound of Gilberto Rivera and Rumba4, and salsa and rumba dance lessons led by one of the region's best known instructors, Greg Coles. Guests will also enjoy complimentary food by Red Lulu, who will provide a wide selection of gourmet soft tacos, a chips/salsa/guacamole bar, and dessert. There will also be a cash bar serving up some of the tastiest cocktails on the North Shore.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Salem Jazz and Soul Festival’s non-profit mission of supporting music education on the North Shore. The event is part of Salem Main Street's Salem So Sweet celebration.
